New Evidence Debunks Evolutionary Scientific Consensus
Slashdot reports:
“In what could possibly be a major blow to a scientific consensus that has held for decades, recent research suggests that the traditional conception of Neanderthals being “stupider” than Homo sapiens may in fact be misleading. As articles about the research findings state, ‘early stone tool technologies developed by our species, Homo sapiens, were no more efficient than those used by Neanderthals.’ The data used in the study is available on-line along with a visual description of the process used.”
The reason I find this noteworthy is because it addresses (A) scientific “consensus,” and (B) evolutionary theory, which are intertwined. Without going into great detail, I will simply quote from Michael Crichton, a non-Christian scientist and medical doctor:
“Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet- because you’re being had.”
Science is constantly developing, and coming to different conclusions. First, the universe was supposedly without beginning. Then, science discovered that there was a first, big, bang- “in the beginning.” ‘Consensus’ will always say this or that; ultimately, the Christian should welcome the advancement of science, because it will finally only corroborate the revealed Word of God. Here is simply an example of that being played out.
More on this subject can be read on my post, “Science and Faith: General Revelation and Special Revelation.“
